In her libel case against a blogger, a federal court jury agreed with Cardi B.
According to TMZ, blogger Tasha K was held responsible on three distinct allegations on Jan. 24, after more than a week of trial, and Cardi was paid at least $1 million.
Tasha got into trouble after making various slanderous claims against Cardi in 2018 and 2019, including claiming that she was a prostitute. Cardi refuted the allegations and requested that the posts be removed. The “WAP” artist launched a lawsuit after Tasha declined.
The mother-of-two spoke in a federal courtroom in Georgia about her mental health and said she was suicidal as a result of the public posts. In court, she referred to Tasha as a “demon.”
“I felt defeated and depressed and I didn’t want to sleep with my husband,” Cardi testified.
A future hearing will be held to determine potential punitive damages Tasha might owe Cardi.
