Britain’s Queen Elizabeth II tests positive for COVID-19

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that Queen Elizabeth has tested positive for COVID-19.

Her symptoms were described as “light” and equivalent to a cold by the palace.

The 95-year-old monarch had just spoken to her son Prince Charles two days before he was diagnosed with the coronavirus.

The Queen will continue to perform “light tasks” at Windsor Castle over the next week, according to Buckingham Palace.

“She will continue to receive medical attention and will follow all the appropriate guidelines,” the palace said in a statement.

People who test positive for COVID-19 must self-isolate for at least five days, however, the British government says that condition will be removed in the next week for England.
