The audience’s top pick this weekend was Black Panther: Wakanda Forever from Disney and Marvel. As the third week of the Marvel superhero sequel’s release approached, a significant box office milestone was reached. After Thor: Love and Thunder ($760 million), a fellow Marvel sequel, the movie has now generated more than $600 million worldwide, ranking it as the seventh-biggest Hollywood release of the year.

Wakanda Forever has earned more than $321 million domestically and an additional $279 million from foreign markets, totaling $600 million worldwide. The United Kingdom, where the movie has made the most money abroad ($27 million), is followed by Mexico ($23.2 million), France ($21.6 million), and Brazil ($14.2 million).

Wakanda Forever has already outperformed The Incredible Hulk ($265 million globally), Captain America: The First Avenger ($370 million), Eternals ($402 million), Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings ($432 million), Thor ($449 million), Ant-Man ($518 million), and the first Iron Man ($585 million), when compared to the rest of the MCU, the largest film franchise in the world. Despite being launched day-and-date on the Disney+ streaming service for a premium access price, Black Widow made $379 million worldwide last year. Iron Man 2 ($621 million), Ant-Man and the Wasp ($623 million), Thor: The Dark World ($644 million), and Doctor Strange ($676 million) are on the taxiway in front of it.
