Gucci and Billie Eilish are working together on a new eyewear campaign for 2022.
Eilish models the range while cruising around the Hollywood Hills in a vintage car, as shown in a film released by the fashion house to accompany the line’s debut. The video was directed by Harley Weir. The 20-year-old hitmaker is shown in the video sporting black acetate caravan sunglasses with a gold-toned Gucci script logo, while other images show her with pink cat-eye spectacles and a huge sun mask with a ’80s vibe.
“Blending retro allure and modern sophistication, the new eyewear collection is enveloped in the campaign’s mysterious mood,” Gucci said in a press release, noting that the retro cars serve as “symbolic extensions of those who drive them, revealing their intentions, motivations, and personality.”
Gucci added, “Reinterpreting the House’s timeless aesthetic, the eyewear styles perfectly reflect the alluring and cinematic mood of the campaign, becoming part of an intriguing plot ready to be unraveled by the viewer.”
