When Billie Eilish and Danny Elfman performed “Sally’s Song” from Tim Burton’s Halloween classic The Nightmare Before Christmas, they were greeted with enthusiastic yells and acclaim. The live concert took held at Banc of California Stadium over two nights, with Eilish playing Jack Skellington’s paramour, Sally, in both performances.
Fans responded not just to the sight of the chart-topping music artist, but also to her attire as she walked out on stage. Eilish went all out, donning the film’s primary female character’s signature raggedy, tattered yellow, gray, blue, green, and pink clothing. Eilish didn’t stop with the outfits, though. She also opted to conceal the stitch lines on her face, neck, arms, and legs using cosmetics. Eilish nailed the song (played to the accompaniment of a full symphony orchestra conducted by John Mauceri) and was greeted with another round of applause as she exited the stage.
