Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies has become one of the first footballers to launch his own NFT (non-fungible token) platform.
The 20-year-old is using this off-time in the build-up to the upcoming season to release a library of digital collectibles which will be on the Binance NFT market.
As reported by Forbes, three limited digital artworks will be raffled as the items have been produced by American illustrator Jack Perkins.
One lucky winner will also receive a “golden ticket”, allowing them to meet Davies and be awarded with his signed shirt from the 2020 Champions League final which Bayern won.
Tickets for the raffle cost $20 and shared on the Binance’s blockchain ecosystem with the collaboration facilitated by Davies’s agency ATG Sports Management and sports marketing business B-Engaged.

“It’s been crazy to see the way crypto has grown over the years to the point where I feel now it’s changing the game through NFTs and providing another opportunity for genuine engagement with fans,” Davies says as quoted by Forbes.
“Me and the fans have created it together. The final design is great, they really have good taste and the outfit they picked is something I would actually wear.”
