According to sources in Spain, Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the victim of a brutal robbery at his residence in Castelldefels early on Monday morning. The 33-year-old and his wife allegedly experienced a terrifying encounter in which they were threatened with firearms and iron bars and forced to open a safe.
According to the Spanish news outlet El Pais, four individuals broke into the home through the garden and stole a number of expensive items from the safe. Physical force was apparently used against the Barcelona player, and Aubameyang and his wife were threatened with guns and iron bars.
After the robbers escaped in the early hours of Monday morning, police were allegedly alerted to the terrifying incident. Numerous witnesses are thought to have observed the robbers fleeing while a police investigation was already underway in Catalan.
