According to Deadline, Steph Curry, the star of the Golden State Warriors, will be the subject of an Apple documentary.
Apple Original Films acquired Underrated from A24 thanks to a first-look agreement with Curry’s multimedia company Unanimous Media. Ryan Coogler, who directed Wakanda Forever, will also work as a producer for Proximity Media. Director Peter Nicks (Homeroom) has been chosen.
The documentary will take a look back at Steph’s outstanding performance with Davidson College during the 2008 NCAA Tournament and the events that led up to his fourth NBA championship triumph and first NBA Finals MVP award last season. His record-breaking and game-changing playing style “turned him from an overlooked prospect to an NBA legend,” as stated in Underrated.
In a game against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in December, Stephen Curry eclipsed Ray Allen to break the NBA’s all-time record for three-pointers made, among many other important accomplishments.
