Antisemitic group hangs banner supporting Kanye West over Los Angeles highway

An anti-Semitic group openly displayed their support for Kanye West with a banner that hung above the 405 Freeway in Los Angeles on Saturday as more and more individuals distance themselves from the rapper.

The ADL Center on Extremism’s vice president, Oren Segal, posted a picture of seven individuals giving the Nazi salute while standing next to a sign that reads, “Kanye is right about the Jews,” on Twitter. It said, “Honk If You Know” on another sign.

The white supremacist organization, which will go nameless, is seen by the Anti-Defamation League to be united in its desire to “cast aspersions on Jews and spread antisemitic myths and conspiracy theories.”

West has faced criticism for making anti-Semitic slurs during a string of appearances after threatening to “death con 3 on JEWISH PEOPLE” on Twitter. Ye gave a puzzling interview to Piers Morgan in which he refused to take responsibility for his earlier remarks but later expressed regret for “the people that I’ve hurt,” attributing his actions to having been wounded and seeking to do harm to others.

Anna Wintour, the esteemed editor-in-chief of Vogue, has chosen to end her relationship with West as a result of his comments, and Balenciaga is said to have followed suit. In addition, he is being sued for $250 million by George Floyd’s family for making false statements on the Drink Champs podcast episode, which has since been removed, in which he claimed that Floyd didn’t died at the hands of Derek Chauvin or any other Minneapolis police officers.
