‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’ trailer is released

A new trailer for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase Five strategy, was released on Monday.

See the sequel’s trailer at the bottom. Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly are among the returning cast members, along with director Peyton Reed. Jonathan Majors, who is nominated for an Emmy for his portrayal of Kang the Conqueror, joins them. Rudd has already praised Majors’ work.

“He’s incredible, and it throws this whole thing into such new territory,” Rudd teased during Marvel’s D23 presentation in September, per the Hollywood Reporter. Majors, of course, previously appeared as He Who Remains in this year’s Loki series.

“I used to ask myself a lot of questions,” Rudd’s Scott Lang tells the audience in the new Quantumania trailer’s opening moments. “‘Scott, you’re an ex-con. How are you an Avenger? That doesn’t make sense.’ But everywhere I go, people tell me the same thing.”

Quantumania comes after Ant-Man and the Wasp from 2018, which earned more than $216 million domestically and more than $622 million internationally. Fans can anticipate Quantumania to produce something “unlike anything” they’ve previously seen from these filmmakers, according to Rudd.
