Andrew Tate, a former kickboxer and influencer, was let out of jail on Friday in the midst of a continuing investigation into alleged human trafficking.

Tate, his brother Tristan, and their two friends, Georgiana Naghel and Luana Radu, were imprisoned in Romania for three months while officials looked into the trio for possible involvement in human trafficking.

“We are ecstatic to announce the Romanian judicial system approved Andrew’s and Tristan Tate’s appeal against last week’s extension decision,” a Tates’ spokesperson told Insider. “Both brothers are looking forward to being reunited with their families in Romania and want to extend their thanks to all the supporters who have stood by them during this time. They will continue to fight to clear their name of these fabricated accusations; however, this is a big step in the right direction.”

The Tate brothers are accused of organized crime, human trafficking, and rape, according to a recent news statement from the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT). Six victims were allegedly sexually exploited and subjected to “acts of physical violence and mental coercion,” with two other people being listed as suspects in the broader investigation.

Tate strongly refuted the allegations after his arrest in December 2022, citing the “lack of proof against the Tate brothers.” Tina Glandian served as his attorney.
