Amber Heard Spokesperson Denies That Actress Was Cut From ‘Aquaman 2’

Amber Heard was allegedly removed from Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom earlier today, a move that has been pushed for for several years in a petition that was started when Heard’s ex-husband, Johnny Depp, stepped away from the Fantastic Beasts film series. The actress’ spokesperson has already replied to the accusations that she is no longer a part of the next DC film.

While the initial story stated that Warner Bros. hired a new actress to play Mera during the reshoots for Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, Heard’s manager assured TMZ that the allegation is false and that her client will continue to play Mera in the DC Extended Universe. As said by this individual:

“The rumor mill continues as it has from Day One — inaccurate, insensitive, and slightly insane.”

So far, nothing has changed with Amber Heard’s role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, according to her team. Before posting its report, TMZ has not received a response from Warner Bros. Pictures, so there is no official word from the company to provide. Even if reshoots are planned, removing Heard from Aquaman 2 this late in the game would be an odd decision.
