50 Cent has responded to the lawsuit imposed on him by cognac company, Remy Martin, who is suing the rapper’s Sire Spirits corporation.
Remy Martin believes that 50’s Branson product infringes upon their “trade-dress and design-patent rights in its jewel-shaped glass cognac bottle design,” as quoted by Complex.
Remy highlights what they believe is a “near exact reproduction” of the bottle, which they believe is key in its “extensive advertising, promotion, and sales over the past 35 years.”
Should Remy Martin win the lawsuit, 50 would likely have to change the jewel design of his Branson bottle to a different model. However, when taking to Instagram, the 46-year-old seemed unfazed by the lawsuit:
