The bold and distinctive new series from Donald Glover and Janine Nabers premiered on Amazon Prime Video on Friday, bringing with it (as hinted at in the days preceding the premiere) some fresh music from Childish Gambino. In fact, the release of a new EP of original series music by Ni’Jah with Kirby featuring Gambino and the Swarm occurs at the same time.
Ni’Jah is the fictional (and clearly Beyoncé-like) star whose fandom plays a crucial part in the bigger plot behind Glover and Nabers’ newest invention, as those who have already started their binge of the program are already aware.
Donald receives writing and production credits on both “Sticky,” the EP’s closing track, and the song’s opener, “Something Like That,” despite the fact that he only has one credited feature.
