After reports that Tiger Woods’ longterm girlfriend was asking the court to become involved in a non-disclosure agreement, a new article sheds more light on the rumored breakup and lawsuit that followed.
The alleged split between the former couple—which was never made public—is now the subject of a $30 million lawsuit against Woods’ private trust, according to a story from TMZ on Wednesday. According to the magazine, Erica Herman asserted that this sum represented the “reasonable rental value” for five years at Woods’ Florida home.
How come five years? Herman asserts that she and Woods made an oral agreement that she would stay in the house for five years following the termination of their relationship. Woods’ team reportedly refuted this assertion, claiming that the two had never signed any such agreement regarding a post-relationship residency of five years.
Herman has also claimed in court documents, which TMZ cited on Wednesday, that she was first instructed by Woods’ team to pack for a quick solo vacation. Herman claims that she was informed at the airport that she was unable to go back to Woods’ house because she had been locked out. She had more over $40,000 in cash at Woods’ house, according to Herman, and it was “confiscated.”
Although everything has so far been covered by the media, neither Woods nor Herman have made any public statements. Herman reportedly cited the freshly passed Speak Out Act earlier this week in an attempt to have the aforementioned claimed NDA declared unenforceable.
