The first full trailer for Ted Lasso’s eagerly anticipated third season has been released via Apple TV+, following the release of the teaser video earlier this month.
The much-loved comedy-drama will finally return to television next month, and the most recent trailer for the new season gives viewers a preview of what Lasso and the recently promoted AFC Richmond can expect. The trailer for the show, which is set to The Rolling Stones’ “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” includes some of the most well-known characters without giving much away about the story. But what we do observe is that Nate, played by Nick Mohammed, after leaving Richmond in Season 2 seems to be the main antagonist of the third season.
“In the wake of Nate’s contentious departure from Richmond, Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) steps up as assistant coach, alongside Beard (Brendan Hunt),” reads the official synopsis for Season 3. “Meanwhile, while Ted (Jason Sudeikis) deals with pressures at work, he continues to wrestle with his own personal issues back home, Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham) is focused on defeating Rupert and Keeley (Juno Temple) navigates being the boss of her own PR agency. Things seem to be falling apart both on and off the pitch, but Team Lasso is set to give it their best shot anyway. “
Because new Lasso episodes haven’t been released since October 2021, it’s a relief that fans won’t have to wait too long for the upcoming 12-episode season. Beginning on March 15, a new episode will air every week after that. the trailer is below.
