When Shakira allegedly found someone eating jam inside the couple’s house, she supposedly learned her husband Gerard Piqué was cheating on her.
Shakira found the proof after arriving home after her tour, according to ShowNews Today. The “Hips Don’t Lie” singer observed that some jam had been consumed, which raised suspicion in her because Piqué, their two kids, and all of them hate jam.
Fans are pointing out on social media that the incident was mentioned in the music video for Shakira and Rauw Alejandro’s joint tune “Te Felicito,” despite the singer not having officially acknowledged the story. Shakira sings, “Your wound didn’t open my skin, but it did open my eyes,” in the song about a lying ex. Shakira released “BZRP Music Session #53” earlier this month, which seems to address the fallout from their argument and the fact that her ex-mother-in-law still lives next door. She sings in Spanish, “You left me the in-laws as my neighbors / Media outlets at my door and in debt,” she sings in Spanish. “You thought you hurt me, but you made me stronger / Women don’t cry anymore, they cash in.”
