Following Sunday afternoon’s Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal, there were unpleasant scenes.
At the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the Gunners defeated their fierce foe 2-0.
Hugo Lloris’ own goal and Martin Odegaard’s strikes in the first half gave Arsenal the victory.
At the last siren, tensions between Aaron Ramsdale and Richarlison erupted.
The Arsenal goalkeeper annoyed Richarlison, who shoved him in the head.
Ramsdale was kicked by a Spurs supporter as he leaned down to pick up his water bottle behind the goal before being escorted away by stewards.
It is understandable that the Arsenal players were not pleased, with Granit Xhaka being especially displeased.
A statement from the FA read: “We strongly condemn the incident involving a spectator that followed today’s Premier League fixture between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal.“This is wholly unacceptable behaviour and we will work together with the police, the relevant authorities and the clubs to ensure the appropriate action is taken.”
Lifetime ban imminent for Spurs fan who kicks Aaron Ramsdale. Stupidity of the highest order. Not great from Richarlison either. pic.twitter.com/gHf8H9nUif
