According to The Athletic, Chelsea and Shakhtar Donetsk have reached a €100 million agreement to sign Mykhailo Mudryk and sink Arsenal’s pursuit of the winger.
Representatives from Chelsea went to Turkey to meet with Shakhtar Donetsk in person while the Ukrainian team is there for a training camp.
Chelsea will pay a fixed fee of €70 million (£62 million) plus a further €30 million (£26.5 million) in add-ons. Mudryk will commit to Chelsea for seven years.
Additionally, Shakhtar has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with Chelsea for the sale of Mudryk.
A statement from Shakhtar read: “FC Shakhtar president Rinat Akhmetov and Chelsea co-owner Behdad Eghbali discussed Mykhailo Mudryk’s transfer to Chelsea FC today.
“Parties are very close to agree on player’s transfer to the club.”
