Despite predicting Argentina to win the World Cup final, Drake lost a $1 million bet.

The Toronto rapper Drizzy put his wager in the 1×2 market, which doesn’t take into account extra time, as can be seen in the screenshot below, which he posted on his Instagram on Saturday night. Of course, it was Lionel Messi who ultimately guided Argentina to their first World Cup victory since 1986, although it came only after a 4-2 penalty shootout.

Kylian Mbappé of France scored a penalty kick in overtime to square the score at 3-3.

This is Drake’s most recent significant wager for the year.

Drake won $1.4 million in February after putting $1.26 million over three bets on the Los Angeles Rams to defeat the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl.

The longtime Kentucky Wildcats supporter suffered a $100,000 loss in April after the Duke Blue Devils’ Final Four loss to the North Carolina Tar Heels. “I’m a Wildcat for life but I’m riding with @getfadedinc team for this one,” he wrote when announcing the wager. The Blue Devils lost 81-77 to the Tar Heels, in a game that marked the end of coach Mike Krzyzewski’s 47-year career.
