Soon after receiving a new trial date in his case involving alleged penis enhancement, 50 Cent disclosed he had spent $23 million on legal bills over the previous 20 years.
The hip-hop entrepreneur discussed the Sandy Hook judgment in an interview with Brian J. Roberts before disclosing how much his numerous legal battles have cost him since his career began in 2003 with the release of his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’.
“I spent over $23 million legal fees since I had success in 2003,” he revealed at the 47-minute mark of the interview, as seen above. “So when you say you successful or you rich in a different way, that money was just written off as expenses of business. You in it and I’m going, ‘What?’ When I’m looking at it myself, ‘That’s how much you really spent on that?’
Fif sued plastic surgeon Angela Kogan and her business, Perfection Plastic Surgery & MedSpa, for violating their constitutional right to free speech earlier this year. He said that she advertised her services, which include penis enhancement, using a picture of him from their first encounter in 2020. He claimed that he only consented to the shot because he thought she was a fan.
“The only thing someone in America can do is sue someone,” he added. “They’re gonna sue and there always gonna be pro-bono or say, ‘We’ll defend you for 30 percent of what we receive off of this because we do see a case.’”
