Inter Miami is getting more and more confident about landing football legend Lionel Messi.
According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, who is recognized as one of the sports media’s most trustworthy reporters.
On Monday morning, Ornstein tweeted: “Inter Miami increasingly confident of signing Lionel Messi. Not fully agreed but Inter Miami now expect 35yo to join & hope it gets done in coming months. Talks resume after World Cup 2022. PSG still want renewal + FC Barcelona will try.”
According to the source, Messi will now sign with Inter Miami, who are now coached by Englishman Phil Neville, and they anticipate a contract being reached in the near future.
It is said that the two parties have been in talks for a few years, and there is “increasing confidence” that this amazing transaction will now come to pass.
The negotiations are apparently being led by Jorge and Jose Mas, the siblings who run Inter Miami with David Beckham. Jorge Messi’s father has attended multiple meetings.
