One of the most well-known and passionate Dallas Cowboys fans was LeBron James. James recently disclosed why he no longer supports the Cowboys.
The last straw, according to James, was Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ requirement that his team’s players stand for the national anthem four years ago. James made the news while having a conversation with Maverick Carter on Instagram Live on Thursday.
LeBron claimed he’s “all in” on his local Cleveland Browns, but he didn’t appear to be completely happy with his choice. With a 2-5 record, the Browns are currently tied for third place in the AFC North as quarterback Deshaun Watson’s contentious comeback approaches. In August, Watson was given an 11-game suspension after being accused of sexual misconduct by 20 women.
After teasing “something special” for NFL fans on Twitter, LeBron made the news.
LeBron James on why he’s not @dallascowboys fan anymore:
“Nah man I had to sit put on the Cowboys man. It just a things that were going on when guys were kneeling… [The] organization were like if do that around here you won’t play for this franchise again.”#DallasCowboys pic.twitter.com/gYusCcs8KY
