At the Italian Grand Prix, Charles Leclerc of Ferrari took the pole position ahead of Max Verstappen of Red Bull.
Leclerc defeated Red Bull’s Max Verstappen by 0.145 seconds.
Verstappen will drop to seventh on the starting grid as one of the nine drivers with a grid penalty.
Lando Norris of McLaren will start second in front of Mercedes driver George Russell, who was sixth fastest in qualifying.
With heavier penalties than Verstappen, Carlos Sainz of Ferrari, Sergio Perez of Red Bull, and Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes, who qualified third, fourth, and fifth, all slide down the lineup.
Due to penalties for using too many engine parts, Sainz and Hamilton will start 18th and 19th, respectively.
Perez will start in 13th place with a less penalty for taking fewer new engine components.
