Harry Styles wanders from his bedroom to art shows and busy intersections in the new video, which was directed by Bradley & Pablo, the team behind “Watermelon Sugar,” as he sings of the pleasures of talking to his sweetheart late at night. Before Harry’s House came out, the British pop sensation released his music video for “As It Was” three months earlier.
When it was released in May, the former member of One Direction’s third solo album enjoyed enormous success, becoming the best-selling album of 2022 at the time. The song, Styles’ third Billboard 200 No. 1 single, sold 521,500 equivalent album units in the United States in its debut week.
These figures translate to 330,000 album sales, 182,000 vinyl album sales (182,000 SEA units), 189,000 SEA units, and 2,500 track equivalent album units. With its 13 songs, Harry’s House generated 246.96 million on-demand streams and set a new record for vinyl album sales in a single week, outpacing Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version), which sold 114,000 vinyl copies in its first week last year. Styles has become the first male artist from the UK to make three consecutive No. 1 Billboard 200 debuts.
“I just want to make stuff that is right, that is fun, in terms of the process, that I can be proud of for a long time, that my friends can be proud of, that my family can be proud of, that my kids will be proud of one day,” Styles said of the LP.
