During this year’s Champions League final, Thibaut Courtois had a performance of legendary proportions.
The way for Real Madrid to win their 14th European Cup was paved by outstanding individual performances from players like Luka Modric, Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, and others when they clearly weren’t at their best.
It was Courtois’ turn to put on a masterclass for the ages to keep Liverpool at bay last season when Los Blancos were puffing and stumbling through the opening exchanges at the Stade de France.
And the Real shot-stopper has now taken his celebration of his heroics in the Champions League final a step further by showing the world the tattoo he received this week to mark the event.
In order to ensure that he never forgets that night versus Liverpool, the 30-year-old announced in his Instagram story on Thursday about the new tattoo that will decorate what seems to be his arm for the rest of his life.
The body art features a totally bricked-up football goal to symbolize his irrepressible nature in Paris, as well as the Champions League trophy with the number “22” written on it and the graphic “TC1” in a graffiti-like font.
