According to TMZ, Britney Spears’ wedding to Sam Asghari was disrupted by her ex-husband Jason Alexander. Britney married Alexander, a childhood friend, in a Las Vegas wedding for only 55 hours in 2004 when both of them were under the influence of alcohol. Shortly later, their marriage was declared null and void.
On Thursday (June 9), Alexander went live on Instagram, showing himself addressing event security and informing them that Britney had invited him. He then informed them he was going to storm the event before a physical altercation and that the singer of “Toxic” was his “first and only wife.” Later, he continued to livestream as he broke into Britney’s house, prompting a police reaction and the final restraint of him outside. The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department is still on the scene after responding to a trespassing incident, according to TMZ. Alexander previously backed Britney in her conservatorship case, even attending a demonstration in her favor in 2020.
The couple was said to be marrying in a small ceremony surrounded by friends and family earlier today. According to sources close to Spears, the couple will say “I do” in front of 100 guests, including Spears’ brother Bryan.
