Ant-Man 3 and The Marvels, two big upcoming MCU films, have swapped release dates, according to Marvel.
The Marvels has been pushed back to July 28, 2023 (the same date as Ant-Man 3), according to Marvel’s official website, while Ant-Man 3 has been pushed ahead to February 17, 2023 (the same date as The Marvels).
The third installment in Paul Rudd’s MCU series, Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania, will have 2021’s sexiest man alive resume his role as Scott Lang, while Evangeline Lilly will reprise her role as Hope Van Dyne, AKA Wasp. Hope’s parents, Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym and Michelle Pfeiffer as Janet Van Dyne, join the leading trio. Kathryn Newton (Pokemon Detective Pikachu, Freaky, Supernatural) will play Cassie Lang, Scott Lang’s daughter, in Ant-Man 3. Finally, Jonathan Majors, who starred in Loki, will play the villainous Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man 3.
The Marvels is the official title for Captain Marvel 2, which stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, a former Air Force pilot, and includes a few other superheroes, as you might assume from the title. Iman Vellani will portray Ms. Marvel, a role that will be presented in the new Disney Plus series of the same name, while Teyonah Parris will play adult Monica Rambeau, a figure you may know from WandaVision. Following the resignation of Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, Candyman filmmaker Nia DaCosta will take over as director.
