The 2022 Formula 1 season is approaching, which means that, in addition to all the excitement around the new vehicles, the new Drive To Survive series is ready to premiere on Netflix.
The fourth series, which is usually released soon before the start of the next Formula One season, has generated a lot of buzz since it is slated to cover one of the most dramatic and contentious campaigns in the sport’s history: the 2021 season.
Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton fought for the world title for a year, and it came down to the final lap of the final Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi, with the Dutchman winning after the most contentious of rulings from Race Director Michael Masi.
Indeed, the fallout from that is still ongoing, with us waiting to see what the FIA will do about the Race Director post, but one thing is certain: Season 4 of Drive To Survive will be spectacular, and we now have a release date for it:
Unfortunately, one of the main protagonists, Max Verstappen, pulled out of filming for the series because he felt it pushed rivalries, and considering how active he was in the championship, this may affect the nature of what’s to come.
